FSU Election 2065

यथस्थितिबादलाई धक्का उग्रबदिलाई चोट,
बैज्ञानीक शिक्षा र अग्रगमी संबिधानकोलागी अनेरस्वोबियुलाई भोट।

Three years before, we had lost the FSU Election '062. All our committee members were shocked and saddened by the out of blue result. The Aftermath analysis concluded with, "we neglected the Architecture department with 240 students during scrutiny of election". And then, we decided to win back the power and pride in the next election. That was the only ultimate goal. We bonded even stronger, filtered the committee and flourished it to every Year and Department.Worked hard, went amongst the student, got united to raise the educational issues and after different ups and downs, got ready for the judgment day, the FSU Election '065, on 6th of chaitra. Here we stand tall and high, being victorious, winning 10 seats out of 11, loosing only one member to NSU.
And we all chant together, "पानीमा दियो बल्दैन, लाल किल्ला ढल्दैन। "
Three years before i was the fresher at college, and a memeber of the ANNFSU Pulchowk Primary Committee, now i'm on the 6th semester and the President of ANNFSU Pulchowk Campus Committee. In these three years the national political scenario has also transformed to a whole new state, with Maoist coming to mainstream politics, accepting the multi-party system. And this epic FSU Election also had different political importance to different parties. Maoist wanted to legitimate their win in CA Election whereas other wanted to show their stronghold position in the national politics by being the best and popular within the educated and intellects of the nation. Beside this, we all know, Student wing the the Fertile Factory of the generation next leaders of respective party.
NSU was as always, had their "big budget spending "as their, Ace in the Hole, but this time they weren't successful as they were ripped off by their incompetence of doing zero progress on their three year term of FSU. The orthodox internal conflict and the central committee intervention,during their candidate selection also proved to be suicidal for them.
On the other hand we had, the recent Big Gun, who call themselves Revolutionary, ANNISU(R). They were really a revolutionary with revolutionary attitude and behavior, use of Weapons on the campus student, acting like mobs,threatening the freshers, and following their mother party policy, politics of negation. They wanted to revolutionize the College on the overnight just like their mother party, by any means, let it be treating, threatening, thrashing. But the Engineering Student's Psychology was vague to them, and they ended up not even winning a single seat. Being unique and radical isn't always fruitful, at least in Politics. Showing weapons in college, creating a terror environment, all those shite phone calls of threat, and state owned Car loaded with Swords, wont help anymore, Mr. Pun, at least in Institute of Engineering,Pulchowk Campus.

Albeit, the Minister of Finance Baburam Bhattarai was appointed by the Party for the co-ordination to win the Pulchowk Campus, coming to the college and asking the student to vote for his student wing party, and to forget his ethics of being the minister of nation not only of his party, was futile. The same game plan was for the Patan Campus, with Minister Pamfa Bhusal appointed.No stone was left unturned by the party for the win,but, the two proximal college Pulchowk and Patan was won my " Akhil ",and we all chant united, "पुल्चोक हार्यो बाबुरामले, पाटन हार्यो पम्फाले। "
The student's of respective college knows more about the problems and opportunities of the college rather than Minister. One should work hard at the grass root level and win the heart of student, rather then try to impose their principles and their way of politics. Have faith and work themselves ,rather then to bring their central leaders and minister to ask for vote.
Amidst all th e political analysis,as every Political pundit were whining about CPN(UML) being unstable and will be ripped out of the National Politics, this nation wide win in the FSU election shows that, it is still alive and the prominent party of Nepal, which is beloved and famous among the educated people of Nepal.UML has roared back with a bang, and will continue to reconstruct, restructure, revitalised and democratize its party system and sister organization."Ja.Ba.Ja" is the de-facto ideology that's ruling the nation.
I feel ardently delighted and proud, that in my term of President, my committee won almost panel seat in the FSU election and i wanna thank to all the seniors and alumini, fellow comrades, all the well-wishers and devotees of ANNFSU for this love, support, hard work which led to this landslide victory. And also the voters to believe in us and give us the chance to transform the Pulchowk Campus to a new different level of Engineering Study. As promised during our campaign, "हामीलाई पुल्चोक क्यम्पसको काचुली फेर्ने धोको छ...", we will be faithfull to our words and will work to help,Pulchowk Campus regain its academic environment, in every aspect.

World AIDS Day 2008

It was just a regular college day, the only difference was i was attending the First Lecture,that was of Dipen Chapagain(D.C) sir. I was in no mood of taking that lecture too, but i had the call from the Dipen daju himself asking me about the Class,since me being the so called Class Representative(C.R) :-P. So i hastily rushed to the Classroom.The "Operating System" class was pretty exciting, learning about Interrupts,Entry to Critical Region , Processes. Also a warm welcome by D.C Sir for my 2nd class, out 7. ;-).

Out of many absentee, Ruchin Sing was one. But after the class was over, i could see him with a box full of The Red Ribbon,which is the global symbol for solidarity with HIV-positive people and those living with AIDS. He was just busy distributing the Ribbon to others, he even put the one on the D.C Sir's Sweater, and i was reminded it's December 1,the World AIDS day.He had told me about his idea of distributing the Red Ribbon before a week. He wanted to celebrate the World AIDS day in our Pulchwok Campus too and he did it. Bravo Mate. The slogan was , remember your ABC's, where " A " stands for, abstinence, " B " for "Be Faithful " and "C" for " Condom ". We had this slogan in our MSN Live Messenger Display name and Facebook status for 4 days before today and will be keeping it for few more days. Ruchin Singh the hero, the activists.
There's lot of controversies on the hypothesis of the Origin of AIDS, no single hypothesis has been unanimously accepted,but out of them Cameroon Chimpanzee Hypothesis is one of the most convincing. It is assumed that the HIV-1 most likely originated in wild chimpanzee in the southeastern rain forests of Cameroon. This might have transferred to the Human Race during late 19th or early 20th century.Primatologist Jim Moore suggests that colonial practices may have created conditions conducive to the spread of the virus. The hardships of forced labor could have suppressed the immune system of the initial hunter, allowing the virus to infect and take hold in a new host.The colonization of Africa brought close contact of many people of different parts of world together and thus the spreading of Virus world wide. Whatever may be the reason,fighting with it has been really baffling and even billions of dollar injection, for the research and development of its cure, hasn't been quite fruitful yet.

In 2007, an estimated 33.2 million people lived with the disease worldwide, and it killed an estimated 2.1 million people, including 330,000 children. The figure itself shows the lethality and abundance of the virus. Also, the reason to celebrate World AIDS day and spread the knowledge and awareness about AIDS. If we can create an aware and educated society, state , country and world about AIDS,then we can cease the spreading of the Virus to other new host, thus saving beautiful life.

If everything goes right,we decided about organizing a "Awareness Talk Program" on the Library hall of our Campus, on coming Friday, to support the campaign of fighting AIDS and put some effort on raising awareness.

EXPOSURE TO BLOOD BORNE PATHOGENS (Blood Transmission and Sharing of Syringe of Infected Person)

MISCONCEPTION:
There has been many misconception regarding the AIDS. Some of them are,AIDS can spread through casual contact,kissing,sharing beds or utensils, the sexual intercourse with a virgin will cure AIDS, and that HIV can infect only homosexual men and drug users.

Anywayyyy, this was the essence of World AIDS Day,2008, for me.

Few agile words on my " B'day Mate "

Its been couple of month since i last blogged anything or posted any thoughts here.This Blog was kinda dead. I wanted to pour some thoughts on the Historical Victory of Obama as the First African-American president and his much anticipated slogan " Change".We've to wait and see for that "Change", but for instance the change has been on my mind, and I'm here writing about something else ,something about my B'day mate.

I found out that she was from Urlabari,you know,it's good to find someone from same region. Later,i could see we had the same birth date.Now that acted as catalyst, I couldn't help myself from adding her to my friends list. She accepted and we were friends,but the friendship was passive. We just had each others name on our friend list and that was it.

On the '08 birthday of mine,which is presumably to be hers too, i decided to comment her a Happy Birthday wish on her profile. Luckily, got one in return.That was the first interaction between us, the aurora.

Then was the Dashain/Tihar wish and then later we started to chat. This was more than year after, we had been friends officially. ;-)

The moment i had had chat with her, i was profoundly excited ,yet didn't try to show it to her.But also couldn't get hold on my overwhelming feeling.Out of inquisitiveness, started to digg about her and fired links of question one after another. It was kinda crude of me, to expect much from someone with whom I'm chatting for the first time, but I got the response and got the answers.That was my modest effort to know her.The candid talk was going on and on,and to my amusement,it was not just the Birth Date but loads of bits common between us.We talked a lot and shared our philosophy and thoughts on different abstract of life.
May sound funny to jot here,but wanna mention one,we both have dimple as the Mother's B'day gift to us,and on the same right cheek. :lol:

I don't know how come, I became so close to her and shared everything of me.I was meant to take the detour rather than the freeway,but i didn't. I was flowing ,and i never felt awkward, rather wanna go free ,and say even my deepest thought,my zipped history ,my present or whatever i have to say. Just searching my attic to get anything to talk about. I just didn't want to stop talking with her, and getting a step closer.

I've always thanked "Wiki" for the Millions of useful Article for my Studies, loved P2P,(hail Sweden, :-P) for providing me movies,music,software and e-books, now i wanna thank Social Networking(Hi5),another widget of web 2.0, to make me meet her.



Wishing,sooner the Time Zone too will be same for us.

US economy in Peril

The SuperPower US has its economy shrinking and the Stock Market has crashed worst since the last time in 1929.Will it follow the Era of Great Depression ? One cannot say it now.
The US Congressman has rejected the Bailout worth 700 billion USD proposed by the President George W. Bush,eventhoug both Democrats and the Republicans tried to put their head together to pass the bill. This has further led to the Deadlock in resolving the economy crisis.
``Americans are angry, and so are my colleagues,'' said a Republican Leader ``They don't want to have to vote for a bill like this.'' After the 85 billion rescue of AIG's ,the government tried to bail out all the other banks and companys which was on the verge of collapsing or being Bankrupt, but President Bush didnt had enough support this time, not even from the congressman of his Home State and his own Party. :-P
The First live debate between the presidential candidate wasn't vivid too,as both of them couldn't suggest the wayout.Senator Obama went on blaming 8 years of Bush administration for the jeopardy in economy now,whereas Senator McCain defended president Bush.But, both of them said they would fight out the Crisis and resolve it if nominated as the President ;-). Darn the indignation :D
Whatever may be the reason for the Crash,the economist are busy brainstorming to find the way out to solve the crisis.Everyone's busy to save the US from drowning ASAP.Some say it as the start of New Era,the Rise of Asia as the Next Super Economy(H.K), whereas some quote, This is just another * new * crashdown which will be solved and will become History,just like 1929.President Bush claims it to be another test of the American Strength.
Soon the Bail was rejected, it also affected the world market.Markets in Asia and Europe was down and the investors were skeptikal about their investment. People dont know what to do with their money. The Capitalist principle has failed again, and the President Bush move mimicks the socialism.The socialism to bail out some 14-15 CEO's and the WallStreet,which was doomed by the catpitalism.The inflation in the world is followed by the WallStreet Devastation.This doesnt beckon good economic future of World .As the citizen of LDC's i would just wish the World Economy to be stable and the inflation to go down, so that we wouldnt be the victim of economic warfare of the First World Nation.All i can do is,

Life Goes On...

Life Goes on,one of the most realistic quote.We pass through different phases of life,different Ups and Downs, meet different people, make different Friends.Someone said, "we meet up to depart".YUP,ultimately,we split up,choose our color of life and take different paths.Life Goes On...one cannot cling to reminisces and kill the time.

Another turning point a fork stuck in the road
Time grabs you by the wrist directs you where to go
So make the best of this test and don't ask why
It's not a question but a lesson learned in time

Circle of Friends keep on changing, some friends are Easy Come Easy Go, whereas some make a special place in the heart,and are hard to forget.Likely, Friends of early teen(13),the Homeys,with whom we grew up together, they are always special and very hard to forget.
Don't know why,but I'm missing those days of Teen today.I miss those good old days and good old friends.The days when we were carefree, young hot blood, trying to act smart yet the dumbest arse, :P.Loitering around with empty mind.Peregrinate to the countryside,hunt for the Rooster.Getting home late and yet always had a fresh reason for excuse.Riding Bicycle all the way long, until the thighs aches,to some unknown place.Going to the woods and have a wee picnic every time,get lost in it.Go fishing and look like you're from one of those fisherman clan,look shabby and scornful,with those Long Bamboo sticks,muddy outfit and pocket full of Earth Worms and Fish.

So take the photographs and still frames in your mind
Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time
Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial
For what it's worth it was worth all the while

The Rivers(Mechi,Hadiya,Kankai,Deoniya) and those Dirty Ponds(Lingey,Factory), we'd die to swim and always return loosing some thingy,mostly slippers :(. Playing Football and Cricket all the day long in the Hard Sun.The joy when any of us was home alone, cos it was the time to party.Hire all the VCR from the Video Store,include every category you can think of,don't leave any and watch them till the dawn("bhaley basinjel samma").The weekend Trip to Kanyaam and Pathibhara.The Multi-Picnic Attendance in Chill Winter.The tuition era of School, Grade 9 and 10, lol ,wake up early morn go to tuition,return home from school go to tuition.A mere reason to meet up again,and have some pranks.
Finally the S.L.C is over,and then the disintegration starts.New Life, New Routine,New Friends.
The High School is Over,and New Life,New Routine,New Friends.

It's something unpredictable
But in the end is right
I hope you had the time of your life

Got to fit in new shoes,fit in the new caps.
